What a postpartum body really looks like.
I now have a massive amount of respect for my body after having kids. I have always, like everyone woman i know, had my hang-ups about certain parts. I would love longer legs, thinner arms and JLo's booty (who wouldn't) but over the years i have learned to love what i have.
After experiencing two very different pregnancies and births i will gladly wear the extra jiggle. When i look at my tummy, that i now loving call the "joey pouch", i don't see stretched skin, i see something that helped me bring to life two of the most amazing little girls that i love with all my heart.
I think the older and wiser i get the easier I am on myself about my body. I'm more confident, accepting and grateful for what i've been given.
No matter how jiggly!
The following images are a beautiful representation of motherhood. We all come in different shapes and sizes, skin colours and backgrounds but we all share the same love for our children and i think that's something to be celebrated.
These are real women with real bodies and real stories. I think we forget what a real body looks like sometimes. Glossy magazines and photoshopping gets in the way of real life. I hope i can teach my daughters that real is beautiful, no matter the size or shape.
