See ya 2016.
Whoah, what a year!. 2016 was a doozy to say the least.
I'm yet to hear someone say that this was an amazing year for them. Instead the general consensus has been "thank god this year is nearly over, it effing sucked!" Yep.
A lot has happened this year and yes, there were a few highlights. Here's ours.
We added a second child to our expanding crew. Miss Marley is an amazing kiddo and to think there was a time without her here seems surreal. This child was meant to be ours. She smiles with her entire face and brings an unexplainable calmness to our household.
The way she entered the world however is a story for another time.
Love you Moo.
Jonathan and i celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. We did it! Yay!
The old saying goes that the first year of marriage is the hardest and boy did it put us to the test. We've had multiple complicated, unwelcoming situations thrown our way and we tackled them as a united front and i believe our love for each other and our marriage is stronger because of it.
My man has shown dignity, grace and extreme patience this year. It's been a rollercoaster of a ride for him and i'm so proud of the man and father he is.
Love you babe.
Our Little Lulu became a big sister and handled the huge change in her life like a boss. This kid is something else. We've had many proud parent moment this year watching her grow right before our very eyes. Lulu is strong willed, confident, fiery and full of love. She see's the magic in everything in the world and i know in my gut she's going to achieve amazing things.
Love you monkey.
I think if we've learnt anything from this year it's that the Viana family can tackle anything life throws at it. We've grown not only in numbers but in strength and character. 2016 has made us develop a thicker skin and look at life a different way.
Next year we plan to travel more, learn more and keep filling those memory banks with laughs, cuddles, experiences and love. We have our first family holiday booked for February and surprise, surprise we are headed to Hawaii again. Our happy place. Two weeks of sun, sand and multiple Mai Tai's.
I hope that everyone has a fantastic New Year and that 2017 brings you everything you ever dreamed of.
Happy new year everyone!
